The Importance of Gil in Final Fantasy XIV
Gaining access to an abundance of Gil enables players to freely navigate Eorzea, purchase catch-up gear for higher tier dungeons and content, stockpile consumables, personalize their characters through shops and glamor gear, as well as purchase more expensive equipment, mounts, and weapons.
Crafting and reselling are an excellent way to earn Gil, particularly for Gatherer classes whose material costs tend to fluctuate significantly and cause significant sums to change hands quickly.
Leves
GP, or Gil, is the primary form of currency in Final Fantasy XIV. Players can acquire it by defeating enemies in battle or selling items obtained from item drops or treasure chests; alternatively Guildleves provide opportunities for earning additional gil.
Leves are repeatable quests that grant players experience, ffxiv giland sometimes items. Once in the zone of Leve, players can begin them from within their journal using Levemete to initiate them.
Some leves require teams, such as Grand Company leves; however, solo fishing and craftcraft leves also exist and offer class EXP and GC Seals, but produce less rewards than battle leves. Tutorial leves also exist to make things simpler while only providing limited amounts of gil.
Crafting
Players can earn considerable gil through crafting, particularly at the beginning of each patch when many new items and nodes become available. Crafting can also be lucrative if players level their Culinarian skill to unlock Leve Quests with high-priority items or sell materials that are underpriced on the Market Board.
Crafting and gathering classes must always remain up-to-date with each new patch to stay relevant on the Market Board, with new equipment and ingredients often fetching higher prices on that platform. Class quests also often reward fast players with plenty of Gil, while Treasure Maps (which offer random mini dungeons with great rewards) can be another effective means of making Gil in ff14 gil.
Dungeons
Gil is one of the primary currencies used in Final Fantasy XIV, used to purchase equipment, upgrade weapons and armor, purchase food and beverages and buy housing. Players can earn additional gil by completing dungeons, guildleves and duty roulettes.
One popular way to earn f14 gil is through class quests, which offer high profit margins when completed. Additionally, Treasure Maps offer access to random dungeon instances which yield substantial rewards when activated.
Provided with enough f14 gil, players are free to explore Eorzea unencumbered by financial limitations and experience its many attractions. Furthermore, with enough gil in hand they can purchase better gear, furniture, glamor and furniture for their character as well as speed up progression by purchasing Tier 2 weapons and armour.
Selling Items on the Market Board
Sell items on the Market Board to make quick Gil in Final Fantasy XIV and avoid having to farm for them yourself! However, this process takes time and requires extensive research in order to know which items sell best.
Gatherers can earn considerable Gil by selling their materials on the Market Board. This method is especially helpful during new patch launches, when there may be numerous items which sell well.
Players should avoid undercutting prices too drastically on the Market Board, as this can rapidly reduce its value. Utilizing tools like Universalis to view other servers’ offerings will help players ensure that they sell their items at an appropriate price.
